Meadow Lake Equestrian Center Lesson Barn

 Meadow Lake Equestrian Center (MLEC) boasts an excellent lesson barn program with qualified and experienced instructors and safe, reliable schooling horses. This is the place for young riders interested in learning the full extent of horsemanship including riding, care and maintenance of horses.

  • Our lesson barn  includes an activity room complete with snacks and other conveniences geared toward the needs of students in our program. (Ie. Homework station, video viewing area, etc.)
  • Boarding is available in the lesson barn for students who own their own horses.
  • Horsemanship skills develop among a positive and congenial group of peers under the supervision of energetic college interns.
  • Specific MLEC curriculum to be used for beginners through to JR/YR  stage.

 

Giddy-Up Days are here!

Join us for a week of learning, fun, and excitement. We are offering 4 camps for kids 10-16 and a junior camp for kids 6-9 this year. The day will be packed with horse-back riding, horsemanship, crafts, activities and lots more fun. The price is only $395 per week full-day, or $225 for half-day, with discounts for multiple kids or multiple weeks, if you want to come to more then one week. Call for a flier and more details, spots are still available in all weeks, but they are filling fast.

 Lindsay Koffler Cassady

Lindsay Koffler Cassidy, USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist, has successfully competed in the sport of Dressage since the age of four when she rode in her first competition. She has won numerous local, state, national, and international awards over many years. After leaving behind a remarkable Advanced Young Rider career two years early, during which she won eight international medals, Lindsay and her horse, Alfredo, qualified for and rode in the 2005 Festival of Champions, Intermediare I National Championships, USET Headquarters, Gladstone, NJ. She was the youngest rider to have ever competed at this prestigious event and is now on the USET Long List. From 2002 - 2005, Lindsay"s horse, Alfredo, was the National USDF Horse of the Year, Young Rider Division, in Prix St. George and Intermediare I, in addition to National Champion Hanoverian Prix St. George, Intermediare I, Young Rider Division. Lindsay served many years as the Young Rider representative on the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Dressage Association and Mid-South Eventing and Dressage Association in Kentucky. She was co-clinician at the 2006 KDA Volunteer Clinic and the 2004 KDA Freestyle Clinic. Lindsay has also volunteered her time as trainer and coach to the Keeneland Pony Club, 4H, and the University of Kentucky Dressage Riding Team. Lindsay is currently training with Mrs. Jessica Ransehousen, Mr. Conrad Schumacher and Mr. George Williams. Lindsay is a USDF Associate Certified Instructor.
